A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Kathryn Phillips. I am a Maryland resident, wife, and mother to four strong-willed daughters. I started my college career as a graphic design major and illustration minor at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fl. It was there that my passion met my focus for architectural illustration and interior design. Although only spending a year there, I returned home to Maryland to finish a degree in interior design. With the guidance and mentorship of my professors and professionals in the industry, I began working for a small design firm in Annapolis. After having my oldest daughter, I realized my heart was at home to care for my new baby. I am grateful that in that time, I have continued to have networking opportunities to work on small projects with other designers and contractors…

And then

Ten years and four daughters later, {March 2020} I felt it was time to start my own company. I would be remiss to say that my family did not play a role in the kind of brand I wanted to build. I wanted to keep it simple— to come along side my clients in the process rather than take the lead. But alas, the world was faced with a pandemic that lasted about 2 years. In that time, we all had to slow down but I am grateful that opportunity showed up and I was able to get started.

And now

In the last couple of years, I’ve had a range of projects— commercial and residential. The world of small business within commercial design is definitely an area that excites me; I suppose because I am a small business owner. However, nothing compares to the personal relationships that I am able to curate with my residential clients. Every project is an opportunity and every challenge is a chance.
